I have spent the last 6+ years working exclusively with women at different stages of motherhood (trying to conceive, pregnant, and postpartum). I am well versed on the anatomical and physiological changes that occur during this transformative time and have worked with hundreds of women, all with unique experiences. Whether you arepregnantand have questions around exercising during this transformative time in your life, or are anew mom looking for a safe route back into a fitness routine I can help! My prenatal & postpartum programs prioritize alignment, breathing mechanics, pelvic floor and abdominal exercises as well as form and strength in functional movement patterns. I create individualize programs that can meet women where they stand - whether you haven't had a regular fitness routine in sometime or are used to intense daily WOD.

If you a self sufficient exerciser and aren't interested in personal or group training, I recommend contacting me to set up an pregnancy exercise consultation. During this hour long session we will review important exercise considerations during pregnancy and create individualize strategies for modifications to exercise during each trimester.

Birth Support FAQ
Why should I consider a doula? Simply put, everyone deserves a coach that focuses solely on your health and wellbeing, exudes unconditional positive regard, and delivers compassionate support during pregnancy and birth. Research has shown that continuous support during labor reduces incidence of cesarean and instrumental deliveries, reduces the need for medical interventions, and shortens labor time! As a part of your birth support team I will work to ensure that you feel prepared and supported every step of the way. Labor and delivery is often a mystery and doulas work to demystify the process and leave you feeling prepared and confident in your ability. What exactly does a doula do? During our initial prenatal meeting, with you at the helm, we will work to create a comprehensive birth preference sheet. This includes taking a deep dive into big matters such a your birth vision, and immediate postpartum preferences, as well as discussions on smaller nuance details that can play a large role in the overall experience of your birth. In addition, we will work on stress management and relaxation practices that help reduce the fear/tension/pain cycle and ultimately help you gain confidence in your innate strength and ability to birth. We will review and practice labor positions that can help ease the pressure of early labor. Also, we will review and practice common labor massage/acupressure/counter pressure techniques. If you have a partner he/she can participate as much as you'd like! Does a doula take the place of my spouse/partner/family? A doula is a part of your birth support team and does not take the place of a partner/spouse. I work collaboratively with everyone on your birth team to ensure you are fully supported. Are hospitals allowing doulas during the Covid-19 pandemic? It depends! Currently UCSF and CPMC are allowing one support person + a doula! What is outside the doula's scope of practice? Doula's are not medical professionals, do not give any medical advice and cannot make decisions on your behalf.
