Although this class is not a Mommy & Me class, pre-crawlers are welcome in strollers/car seats.
If you are dealing with pregnancy related issues such a diastasis, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, or overall feelings of weakness this class is right for you!
Like the name suggests, the focus of this FBS class is full body strength but what sets it apart (aside from it being a class full of amazing women who value being strong!) is what you will learn. My FBS programs emphasize movement mastery, understanding the core and pelvic floor, and using motor control to set yourself up for success in all that you do as a woman.
Each session will prioritize alignment, breathing, pelvic floor and abdominal motor control as well as form and strength in functional movement patterns. You can also expect to get your hearts pumping with low impact cardiovascular exercises.
Each class will utilize a wide variety of equipment but what you use will depend heavily on where you are in your journey! Some women in class might be using their body weight while others might be using external load through bands, kettlebells, dumbbells, and barbells. Please note this class is NOT CrossFit - it's functional strength training!!
*If you are postpartum and experiencing any of the following symptoms: pressure or heaviness in your pelvic floor, urinary/fecal incontinence, pain with sex (or pain in general!) - I HIGHLY recommend seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist (yes, there is a such a thing and they are amazing!) Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions about pelvic floor issues! Although I definitely do not have all the answers, I do have a wide network of providers that I can recommend!
